Legal
Privacy Policy.
This policy explains what information ACT International collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.
Effective date: 20 September 2026
1. Who we are
This website is operated by ACT International (“ACT”, “we”, “us”), a trading and sourcing company supplying food ingredients, edible oils and chemical raw materials to international markets.
Our head office is Office 304, Tiffany Tower, Cluster W, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and our operations office is 4 Wissa Wassef Street, Giza, Cairo, Egypt. You can reach us at info@act-int.com or on +971 4 575 9388.
ACT International is the entity responsible for any personal information collected through this website.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to give us through our Contact and Request a Quote forms, or when you email, call or message us directly. Depending on the form you use, this may include:
- Your full name and the company you represent
- Your work email address, country, and telephone or WhatsApp number (optional)
- Product of interest, required quantity, preferred packaging, destination port, preferred Incoterm and target shipment date
- Technical specifications, notes, and any document you choose to attach (PDF, Word or Excel)
- The content of your message or enquiry
3. Information we do not collect
This website does not use advertising or analytics trackers, does not build visitor profiles, and does not collect personal information automatically beyond standard server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and performance. Our anti-spam checks on the forms (a hidden field and a minimum completion time) do not identify you personally.
4. How we use your information
We use the information you provide only for legitimate business purposes connected to your enquiry:
- Responding to your message or preparing a quotation
- Confirming product specifications, availability, packaging and documentation
- Coordinating sampling, inspection, logistics and shipment execution
- Maintaining our commercial relationship and order history with your company
- Meeting applicable trade, customs, tax and record-keeping obligations
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your information on the basis of your consent (given when you submit a form and accept the consent checkbox), and where relevant because processing is necessary to take steps toward, or perform, a commercial contract with your company. In limited cases we process information to comply with legal obligations, such as trade and tax record-keeping.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@act-int.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
6. Who we share it with
Your enquiry is handled by our own teams in Dubai and Cairo. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
Where fulfilling your request requires it, we may share relevant details — typically your company, product, volume and destination — with:
- Manufacturing and production partners in our sourcing network
- Independent inspection, testing and certification bodies
- Freight forwarders, shipping lines and destination agents
7. International transfers
Because we operate between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt and ship to more than 40 countries, your information may be processed in, or transferred to, countries other than your own. We limit such transfers to what is needed to handle your enquiry or shipment and share only the minimum details required.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and correspondence records for as long as the commercial relationship is active and thereafter for the period required to meet applicable trade, customs, tax and documentation obligations. When records are no longer needed, they are securely deleted.
9. How we protect it
Access to your information is restricted to the team members handling your enquiry. Our website is served over encrypted connections, and form submissions are protected against automated abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a business-to-business enquiry site.
10. Your rights
Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Ask us to delete your information where there is no legal reason to keep it
- Object to or restrict how we use your information
- Withdraw consent to further contact at any time
11. Children
This is a business-to-business website intended for professional users. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date.
